Clown & Physical Storytelling - Dec 22nd @ 2PM
Clown & Physical Theatre
Date & Time: Sunday, December 22nd · 6:00–8:30 PM
Location: in-STUDIO · Unit A (Main Stage Area)
Instructor: Tarek Sadeq
Description:
Unlock your creative instincts and rediscover the power of play in Clown & Physical Theatre, a dynamic workshop led by Tarek Sadeq, a classically trained actor specializing in physical storytelling, mime, and movement-based performance.
This workshop uses techniques inspired by clown training — not the circus tradition, but the deeper art of authentic presence and playfulness that fuels truthful acting. Through movement, improvisation, and ensemble exercises, participants will learn to access spontaneity, trust impulses, and find joy in creative risk-taking.
While the exercises may feel lighthearted or even silly, the discoveries are profound. Play is the root of imagination — and it’s often the missing link between the actor’s technique and genuine inspiration. This class gives performers permission to let go of self-consciousness, explore freely, and rediscover the fun that drives authentic storytelling.
Open to adults of all experience levels (ages 18 and up), this workshop is ideal for actors looking to strengthen emotional availability, physical confidence, and creative freedom.
Refund Policy:
Refunds for this workshop are available until December 8th, 2025. After this date, tuition is non-refundable. All participants must review the in-STUDIO Student Handbook for policies related to workshops, attendance, and conduct prior to registration.
