Improvisation for Actors Workshop - Dec 7th @ 1PM
“Yes, And For All: Improvisation for Actors”
Date & Time: Saturday, December 7th · 1PM-3:30PM
Location: in-STUDIO · Unit B (Classroom area)
Instructor: Bob Bershere
Description:
Rediscover your spontaneity and strengthen your creative instincts in Improvisation for All, a high-energy workshop led by Bob Bershere, veteran performer and professional improviser with Greensboro’s own “The Idiot Box” Comedy Club.
Through short-form improvisation games and structured progressions, Bob helps actors of all levels break free from overthinking, follow their impulses, and respond truthfully in the moment. Whether you’re new to improv or an experienced performer looking to loosen up your on-camera instincts, this session provides a supportive space to take risks and rediscover the joy of play.
A portion of the workshop focuses on commercial “slice of life” improvisation — a style frequently used in Southeast commercial auditions. Actors will explore realistic, everyday scenarios that require spontaneous reaction, subtle humor, and emotional truth.
This workshop is perfect for actors (18 and up) who want to sharpen their listening skills and develop creative agility on stage or on camera. No prior improv experience is required.
Refund Policy:
Refunds for this workshop are available until November 30th, 2025. After this date, tuition is non-refundable. All participants must review the in-STUDIO Student Handbook for policies related to workshops, attendance, and conduct prior to registration.
