in-STUDIO Terms of Service

By registering for any class, workshop, private lesson, self-tape, or summer camp at in-STUDIO, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms apply to all students and all purchases made through our website or in person.

1. General Agreement

By completing payment, you acknowledge that:

  • You have reviewed and understand all in-STUDIO refund, attendance, and cancellation policies

  • You are committing to the program(s) purchased and accept all applicable fees and conditions

  • You are responsible for checking your schedule prior to registration

  • in-STUDIO reserves the right to modify programming, instructors, or schedules as needed

in-STUDIO maintains full discretion over all curriculum, casting, scene assignments, and instructional methods. These elements are not subject to request or modification by students or parents/guardians.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policies

All refund policies apply to all circumstances without exception, including illness, travel plans, schedule conflicts, personal emergencies, or calendar misunderstandings.

Classes (Monthly, 6-Week, Youth, Teen, Adult, Virtual)

  • Withdrawals more than 14 days before the start date → Refund minus $50 administrative/processing fee

  • Withdrawals within 14 days of the start date → Non-refundable and not eligible for credit transfers

Private Lessons & Self-Tapes

  • Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance → Refund minus $25 administrative fee

  • Cancellations within 24 hours → Non-refundable for any reason

Workshops (Year-Round & December)

  • Once registration is submitted, 50% of the paid workshop tuition is non-refundable for any reason

Summer Camps

  • Deposits are entirely non-refundable

  • If withdrawing after full tuition is paid, 50% of the total tuition is retained, regardless of the reason

If in-STUDIO cancels a program for reasons unrelated to student conduct, a full refund will be issued.

3. Attendance, Preparation & Registration Responsibility

  • All registrations are individual commitments, even if registering with a partner or friend

  • Missed classes, absences, or inability to attend do not qualify for refunds or credits

  • Students are responsible for arriving prepared with assigned material completed in advance

  • Students are expected to arrive on time and ready to participate

Late arrivals may disrupt the class environment.
Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may be required to observe rather than participate.

Failure to prepare assigned material or repeated lateness may result in limited participation at the discretion of the instructor.

in-STUDIO prioritizes students who arrive prepared and on time. Class time will not be extended or restructured due to lack of preparation by individual students.

4. Conduct, Placement & Dismissal

in-STUDIO reserves the right to remove any student whose behavior compromises safety, professionalism, or the learning environment.

Dismissals for conduct reasons are not eligible for refunds.

in-STUDIO reserves the right to assess a student’s ability to participate in a group class setting. If a student is unable to meet participation requirements, in-STUDIO may recommend a transfer to private coaching or an alternative program. All transfers and changes remain subject to standard refund and administrative policies.

5. Health, Safety & Liability

By participating in any in-STUDIO program, you acknowledge the physical nature of acting training and assume responsibility for your own personal safety and well-being.

Students must follow all studio rules and instructor guidance at all times.

6. Character Development & Creative Interpretation

As part of training, students may create character backstory based on limited script information.

Students and parents/guardians acknowledge that:

  • Any details beyond the written script are the result of the student’s own creative interpretation

  • in-STUDIO does not assign or require specific personal experiences or sensitive subject matter unless explicitly written

  • These exercises are used solely for performance training within a controlled educational environment

Coaches guide students toward age-appropriate choices; however, individual creative decisions remain the responsibility of the student and/or parent/guardian.

in-STUDIO is not responsible for interpretations or conclusions drawn from student-created backstory.

7. Media Release

By participating in in-STUDIO programs, you grant permission for in-STUDIO to photograph, record, and use student likeness, voice, and performance for educational, promotional, and marketing purposes across all media platforms.

If you wish to opt out, a written request must be submitted prior to participation.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By completing your purchase, you agree not to dispute charges with your bank or credit card company on the basis of withdrawal, absence, scheduling conflicts, or misunderstanding of stated refund policies.

All policies are clearly presented at checkout and in confirmation emails.

9. Communication Guidelines

in-STUDIO aims to provide timely and professional communication to all students and parents/guardians.

To maintain focus on training and operations:

  • Communication should be limited to scheduling, enrollment, and general program information

  • in-STUDIO does not accommodate requests to alter curriculum, scene assignments, or character roles

  • in-STUDIO does not share information regarding other students, including participation or assigned material

in-STUDIO reserves the right to limit or not respond to repeated inquiries that fall outside of these guidelines.

10. No Guarantee of Outcomes

in-STUDIO provides professional training designed to develop acting skills. Participation does not guarantee auditions, representation, or employment in the entertainment industry.

11. Force Majeure

in-STUDIO is not liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, power outages, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or provide alternative solutions.

12. Acceptance of Terms

Completing your registration and submitting payment indicates your full acceptance of these Terms of Service and all refund, attendance, and communication policies.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not complete checkout.
