The Actor's Casting Readiness Workshop | Dec 13th
The Actor's Casting Readiness Lab
Dec 13th 4PM-8PM
With Jordyn Aquino | Actress & Casting Professional
Your self-tape got you noticed. Now, are you ready for the callback?
What does a casting professional actually look for when reviewing your audition? How well can you respond to direction? And does your Actors Access profile accurately represent your abilities and experience?
Join actress and LA Casting Professional Jordyn Aquino for an exclusive four-hour intensive designed to help actors evaluate and strengthen their professional casting readiness.
Unlike a traditional audition workshop, this experience begins before you ever arrive at the studio.
PART ONE: THE SELF-TAPE
Each participant will select one of four provided audition scenes and submit a prepared self-tape in advance.
Jordyn will personally review these auditions before the workshop, evaluating the actors' choices, preparation, and on-camera performances from a casting perspective.
PART TWO: THE CALLBACK
During the workshop, participants will watch their submitted auditions on our studio monitors and receive individualized feedback from Jordyn.
Then comes the challenge!
Actors will participate in a simulated callback, receiving new direction and making adjustments to their original performances in real time.
Can you take a note? Can you change your approach? Can you deliver a different performance while remaining truthful to the circumstances?
This portion of the workshop explores one of the most valuable skills a professional actor can develop: the ability to listen, adapt, and implement direction.
PART THREE: THE CASTING PROFILE
The final hour focuses on something actors often overlook: how they present themselves before an audition is even requested.
Drawing on her professional experience in casting, Jordyn will review each participant's Actors Access profile, offering practical observations and recommendations concerning:
Headshots and visual presentation
Résumés and professional experience
Demo reels and performance clips
Profile organization and overall casting readiness
Participants will gain insight into how their materials communicate their experience and abilities to casting professionals.
