Exploratory High School Training (Freshmen-Seniors)

Saturdays · 7M – 830PM · 4-Week Program

Our Exploratory High School Training program is ideal for teens who want to build a strong foundation in acting for film and television. Each 90-minute class blends classical theatre techniques with professional on-camera training, giving high school actors the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in their artistic journey.

The first 30 minutes focus on classical warm-ups that emphasize breath, voice, posture, and emotional connection. These essential building blocks help teens strengthen their stage skills while learning how to adapt those same techniques for the camera. The next 30 minutes deepen their understanding of story and character through script analysis, teaching students to break down beats, objectives, tactics, and storytelling arcs. The final 30 minutes bring everything together with on-camera performance work, followed by immediate playback to reinforce learning and build self-awareness.

Parents are invited to watch the final 10 minutes of each class to observe on-camera playbacks and track their teen’s progress. During the fourth and final class of each month, parents are welcome to watch the full session to gain insight into our training philosophy and curriculum.

Original short scripts are provided weekly, giving students new challenges, character types, and performance goals throughout the month.

Please note: There are no makeup classes for this program.

Jan classes will meet on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and wrap on the 28th.

A typical high school Exploratory program lasts for 90 minutes and incorporates 1 instructor with a maximum of 10 students. The average pure beginning junior may spend up to 1 full year in Exploratory training. Actors with previous training experience may only need 1-3 months to ensure they meet all requirements before advancing into a Preparatory or Professional program.
