SUMMER SITCOM SERIES (6 Weeks)

June 22nd - July 27th

5pm-8PM
Series Title: Late Fees
INVITE ONLY

Each summer, in-STUDIO writes and produces an original sitcom. This six-week training series is designed for professional teen actors to explore the dynamics of ensemble-based performance through comedic storytelling.

Each week, actors will rehearse and perform scenes as part of a consistent ensemble, with an emphasis on comedic timing, active listening, and collaboration. Actors will develop and sustain a fully realized character across the six weeks, refining choices and deepening relationships within the group over time.

Actors are expected to approach the work with professional discipline, arriving fully off-book each week. Preparation is essential, as ensemble work depends on trust, consistency, and reliability among cast members.

This session uses scenes from the original sitcom Late Fees, written by Drew Matthews and Chris Cunningham, where actors will bring to life a recurring group of characters navigating comedic, character-driven scenarios over the course of the program.

Tuition:
A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. The remaining $200 balance is due 12 days prior to the start of the session. The remaining invoice will be sent 1-3 days after paying the deposit.

All tuition policies are referenced in the student handbook.

All tuition, refund, and attendance policies for this series are outlined in our student handbook and available online.

There are no makeup classes for this program, as this class uses it’s own unique script.

*Footage is not guaranteed during Summer Session. *

Registration without prior invitation is not permitted and will not be refunded. To request an audition or verify eligibility, please contact auditions@in-studio.org before enrolling.

Actors who have advanced from our Exploratory Program can join the Preparatory Program for their training. New actors to our studio should send a video and resume, clearly stating their previous training and current on-camera abilities. If the actor doesn't have a demo reel, they can send their latest self-taped performance to auditions@in-studio.org for review.
