Tuesday at 7PM | Adult Professionals | Six Classes
The ability to carry a leading role begins with learning how to prepare for more than one scene.
In Fluent, Adult Professional actors will explore six connected scenes from an original screenplay about Atlas, an adult who supports their father (Gene) as his ability to communicate begins to change. As Atlas and Gene begin learning basic ASL, Atlas must reconsider years of frustration and discover the ways their father tried to express love.
This guided Professional experience introduces actors to the responsibility of reading a complete screenplay and tracking one character’s journey across multiple weeks.
Training will include:
Guided full-script reading and scene breakdown
Identifying objectives, obstacles, and emotional changes
Building consistent character behavior across six scenes
Strengthening independent preparation habits
Performing connected scenes for the camera
Preparing simple ASL as part of the character’s journey
Receiving professional guidance from ASL specialist
No previous ASL experience is required. Actors are expected to participate, prepare between classes, remain curious, and demonstrate growth.
TUITION NOTE:
All tuition, refund, and attendance policies for this series are outlined in our student handbook and available online. A payment plan may be set up at checkout.
There are no makeup classes for this program, as this class uses it’s own unique script.
