The Actor's Next Step Workshop | Dec 7th
The Actor’s Next Step
Three Hours. Three Tools for Moving Forward.
New to TV and film—or bringing your stage experience to the camera? This practical three-hour workshop connects three essential parts of an actor’s development: understanding where you fit, learning how the business works, and preparing audition material with purpose.
Led by in-STUDIO Owner and Creative Director Drew Matthews, you’ll explore:
Understanding Your Casting Type: Discover how your qualities, presence, and experience can help you identify roles and communicate what you bring.
Navigating the Business: Understand casting breakdowns, submissions, agents, casting directors, and the path from audition to booking.
Preparing Self-Tape Material: Learn how to break down a scene, understand relationships and circumstances, and make specific, playable choices before recording.
Bring your questions and leave with a clearer understanding of the industry, practical preparation tools, and a more informed next step in your training.
Designed for newer actors and stage performers transitioning into TV and film. Three connected topics in one focused evening.
Monday | 6–9 PM EST
All tuition, refund, and attendance policies for this training workshop are outlined in our student handbook and available online.
There is no makeup class for this workshop, as the full class recording will be provided for any absence.
