The Art of the Closeup with Donald Elise Watkins
December 12 | 6–9 PM | $150

A closeup invites the audience to see the smallest shifts in your thoughts, attention, and behavior. How clearly are your choices coming through?

Join Donald Elise Watkins for a hands-on workshop exploring performance within a closeup frame.

Actors will receive a workbook containing three pre-written scenes to use during the workshop. Working on our living room set, Donald will help participants explore what reads clearly on camera, offer adjustments, and guide them through applying those changes in their next take.

The studio monitor will remain on throughout the workshop so everyone can learn by watching. See how subtle choices affect a performance and how actors translate direction into a new approach.

Following the workshop, actors will receive an unlisted YouTube link to their unedited performances for further viewing and at-home evaluation.
