Short Form Improv for Juniors | Dec 12th
Junior Improv Ensemble & Live Showcase
Saturdays, December 5 and 12, 2026 · 9:30 a.m.–noon both days
Ages 9–14 · in-STUDIO · Greensboro, NC
Over two Saturday mornings, junior actors will form an improv troupe, rehearse a lineup of short-form games, and put on a live show for family and friends. They’ll learn what it takes to keep an improv show moving together, from welcoming the audience and taking the first suggestion to bringing the whole cast out for a bow.
December 5 · Build the ensemble
Actors will learn the games they’ll perform and practice listening closely, building on a castmate’s ideas, and making clear choices an audience can follow. They’ll start putting the show together by rehearsing game introductions, entrances, and handoffs between teams.
December 12 · Rehearse and perform
The troupe will rehearse the full running order, then open the doors at 11:30 a.m. for a 30-minute live improv showcase. Fresh suggestions from family and friends will shape the scenes. The cast will practice asking for suggestions the room can respond to, giving laughter room when it comes, and staying connected to each other when the room goes quiet.
Workshop registration includes both Saturdays. Family and friends are invited to the December 12 showcase from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The show and workshop will end promptly at noon.
All tuition, refund, and attendance policies for this training workshop are outlined in our student handbook and available online.
There is no makeup class for this workshop, as the full class recording will be provided for any absence.
